Marc Lomas

Managing Director, Commerce, GroupM AUNZ

His career began in the UK, where he founded and grew several successful web development, hosting, and eCommerce companies. This experience ignited a passion for search engine marketing, leading him to establish business units focused on SEO and social media within leading UK media agencies.


Drawn to new challenges, Marc relocated to Australia to lead IPG's SEO and social media operations. Recognising the burgeoning potential of programmatic advertising, he spearheaded the launch and expansion of IPG's Australian programmatic division, building it into the second largest globally. This success led to his promotion to lead the US division in New York.


Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for performance marketing, Marc joined Amazon Ads early in their meteoric rise, leading their global DSP operations team. Later, he returned to Australia to lead Agency Sales, strategically aligning with Amazon Ads' launch in the region.


Always seeking to be at the forefront of industry advancements, Marc transitioned to lead GroupM Commerce and Retail Media after 7 successful years at Amazon, recognizing the explosive growth of this sector. He now works with a portfolio of leading retail clients, including Unilever, L'Oréal, Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Kimberly-Clark, Mars, Danone and many other great brands.


Beyond his professional achievements, Marc is a dedicated sportsman who enjoys running, ocean swimming, boxing, and tennis.
